Memories of Palermo at Christmas.
Remembering Christmas in 2013 in the capital of Sicily. Monte Pellegrino is a sacred site in Palermo: resting place of it's patron saint, Santa Rusalia. It is also venerated y many Sri Lankans now living there, as it reminds them of a similar place of pilgrimage in their birth country.
Remembering also spending Christmas in Mparntwe/Alice Springs I couldn't resist giving Pellegrino a central Australian look, reminding me of the other side of the world!
